A Prayer for Educators
“Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant.”
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that You alone are the One who calls and qualifies. By Your Word, You remind us that it is not by might nor by power, but by Your Spirit that the work is accomplished. Today, we ask that by Your Word and by Your Spirit, You would help Christian educators understand that their assignment in public schools is not accidental, nor is it sustained by human strength alone.
Lord, whether serving in the district office or in the classroom, as principals, teachers, or administrative assistants, help us to see that You are the qualifier of our work. As You filled Bezalel with wisdom, understanding, and skill, fill us afresh with discernment, patience, excellence, and joy. Let us rest in the truth that You equip those You appoint and that every task done in faith is holy unto You.
By Your Spirit, teach us to walk wisely in environments that require both courage and humility. Guard our hearts from discouragement and remind us that our labor in the Lord is never in vain. Anchor us in Your Word, that we may stand firm, speak truth in love, and reflect the character of Christ in every responsibility we carry.
Send us daily as servants led by the Spirit, trusting that You go before us and remain with us. May our lives be living testimonies of Your faithfulness, and may the work of our hands bring glory to the name of Jesus.
We ask these things in confidence, knowing that You who call are faithful to complete the work You have begun.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
